Important: Once you have your flight or travel itinerary, please forward it to TheGathering@sojo.net. Please include the time and location for both your arrival and departure, and make the subject of the email: "Travel Itinerary"
The AEA Local Organizing Committee looks forward to welcoming you to The Global Gathering of Christian Justice Leaders in Nairobi.
Please note that a valid passport or other appropriate travel documentation is required. A yellow fever card may be required at the port of entry.
Some participants may need a visa (Cost of single entry visa is 51 USD).
Follow this link to check your country's eligibility: http://evisa.go.ke/eligibility.html
If it indicates that "YES," you qualify, you will need to apply for a visa. If it it indicates that your country is "EXEMPTED," you should not need a visa. If it lists anything else, it will explain what is required.
Kenyan visa applications have been modified and simplified. All people whose nationalities require a visa can apply for single-entry and transit visas via http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html Be sure not to use any other site to purchase a visa as there are currently multiple known Kenyan Visa scams active online.
The processing time for an eVisa is typically 2 business days, but we encourage you to apply earlier if possible.
If you are from any of the following countries, please begin the visa application as soon as possible since the process will take an especially long time: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (Formerly N. Korea), Eritrea, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Palestine, Senegal, Somali, Syria, Tajikistan
Applicants are able to obtain a visa at the port of entry upon arrival, however, to minimize time spent waiting at the airport, we encourage you to purchase a visa before your arrival.
For more information on Visas and the process of traveling to Kenya, please visit http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html
The AEA Local Organizing Committee will provide support for obtaining Visas. Participants are advised to contact Jim Olang at email@example.com as soon as possible if they need support.
